About Us

My inspiration for creating VoiceGift was sadly witnessing the premature death of
a close friend and realising her young daughter may not remember her voice.

It started me thinking how personal and important people’s voices are to us, and so
I created VoiceGift to capture all sorts of memories, from the birth of a new baby to
a landmark wedding anniversary, personal legacy or special Mother’s Day gift.

Drawing on my experience in social care, broadcast media and communications,
I started experimenting with friends; borrowing their children, their mums and dads to record their words, their thoughts, their wishes. I found I loved making these VoiceGifts, and equally people loved receiving them. Result! The decision was made. I was going to spend my time creating unique personalised gifts and keepsakes.

Creating Voicegift brought together my skills and experience in a way that I could never have expected. In my early career I trained as a social worker. I then progressed to be the joint founder of Fem FM – the UK’s first women’s radio station and have since worked as a Media Lecturer and the Head of Communications for a national charity. I am also an experienced trainer and facilitator, qualified coach and a trained community mediator. It’s fair to say that I do like working with people.

I am very much the face (and ears!) of VoiceGift. My professional background coupled with a natural interest in others enables me to put clients at ease and tease out what’s really important to them for their recording.

Creating truly unique, personalised gifts and keepsakes that increase in value over the years is what VoiceGifts are all about.

Above all, we are a small business with a personal touch. Attention to detail and excellent service matters. I regularly engage a small team of trusted freelancers to ensure that VoiceGift delivers this.

If you are considering a VoiceGift for someone special, please don’t hesitate to give me a call to discuss what we can offer. For your peace of mind, myself and my team are fully CRB checked to work with children and adults.

I love what I do. It’s an honour to share in people’s life defining moments and a privilege to be making something that people invariably love.

I want you to love it too.
